Interfaces that can be connected
IEEE802.11b (Wi-Fi certified) : Maximum 11 Mbps within the wireless LAN area
IEEE802.11a : Maximum 54 Mbps within the wireless LAN area
IEEE802.11g : Maximum 54 Mbps within the wireless LAN area

Important Notice

*In order to use the HOTSPOT service, you will need IEEE802.11b, 11a, or 11g wireless LAN capability. You can use both 11b, 11a, and 11g with a single sign up for the HOTSPOT service.

* We recommend that you use Wi-Fi certified wireless LAN devices (terminals and wireless LAN cards).
* With IEEE802.11a, you may not be able to use LAN devices sold outside Japan because channels 34,38,42,46 are used to provide service. Please consult your wireless LAN device manual to check for compatibility.

* Baud rate is not guaranteed, as it may vary depending on network congestion, type of circuit used, and radio frequency conditions.
* IEEE802.11b : Standard specification for wireless LAN using 2.4 GHz radio band.
* IEEE802.11a : Standard specification for wireless LAN using 5 GHz radio band.
* IEEE802.11g : Standard specification for wireless LAN using 2.4 GHz radio band.

We ensure both convenience and security suitable for each user and service area.
-ESS-ID and WEP(*) complying with IEEE802.11b/11a/11g are adopted as standard.
-User IDs and passwords are protected by SSL(*) for logging in.
-Strict control is implemented to prevent different users from accessing shared data for computers used by multiple users.

*ESS-ID, WEP : A structure, whose function is defined by IEEE802.11, that ensures similar security to fixed line networks.
* SSL : Protocol which ensures security for TCP/IP transmission.
